How Sleep Shapes Your Energy and Mood

Ask our coaches for the single highest-leverage health habit and most will say the same thing: a consistent bedtime. One short night raises next-day hunger hormones, dulls willpower, and tanks workout quality. Repeat that for months and no meal plan can compensate.

What poor sleep does by day

Under-slept brains crave fast energy — sugar, caffeine, snacks — while the prefrontal cortex that would refuse them runs impaired. Members are often shocked to learn their "food problem" is really a 1am problem.

The 45-minute wind-down we teach

Dim lights, screens off, a warm shower, 5 minutes of slow breathing, and the same sleep and wake times — weekends included. Boring works: most members fall asleep 20+ minutes faster within two weeks.

  • Fixed wake time, seven days a week
  • Caffeine cutoff 8 hours before bed
  • Cool, dark, quiet bedroom
  • Morning daylight within an hour

When to get help

Loud snoring, gasping, or relentless insomnia deserve medical evaluation — coaching complements that care. Our stress reduction program pairs sleep repair with daytime calm for members whose minds won't switch off.
